DURING THE EVENT:
As we enter a whole new world of learning, teaching, and training online, we’re being asked to be clear in our expectations for how we show up for ourselves and each other. The way we show up affects the way others show up. Here are Tips for
How to Show Up to Make the Most of the Session: (From Rachel Druckenmiller, 3/21)
- #1. Enjoy Yourself! When you show up as your best self, your attitude and energy will ripple through the group.
- #2. What to Bring. Grab your favorite pen and notepaper.
- #3. Engage Mindfully. Keep yourself muted at appropriate times and be mindful of how "Chat" is being used—either as a tool or as a distraction.
- #4. Cameras On. Seeing each other's faces is a way to connect, so please show up with cameras on. **That being said...we realize you may have kiddos at home with remote learning or other responsibilities - don’t let this hold you back from joining us - we’d rather have your voice with us than nothing at all!
- #5. Eliminate as many potential distractions as possible. Find a comfortable and quiet place and turn your phone on silent, as you would if attending an in-person event. Please be prepared to be present from beginning to end.
- #6. Be Stationary: please be prepared to participate from a stationary spot. Participation from a moving vehicle, while on a walk, etc. will not work well, and can cause distractions to the others in the audience.
- #7. Check your Tech. Update Zoom to the latest version. Steps Here- https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362233-Upgrade-update-to-the-latest-version
